This authentic B-3 Sheepskin Bomber Jacket was created for those airmen who performed long missions in cramped quarters and in very cold & windy conditions. This was the answer to keeping them warm and having the wicking moisture capabilities so they didn't sweat and freeze, which immediately made this aviator jacket a staple for the crews of the B-17 bombers. In 1978 Cockpit USA modified this style by adding two side-entry pockets for hand warming which was a welcome and practical inclusion.
