You can own a real piece of military history when you purchase one of our Boeing B-52 Bomber Stratofortress PlaneTags at Aviator Mercantile Post.   We naturally maintain the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut so it's extremely rare to have an identical, they are one-of-a-kind.  A true warrior would understand the beauty in the imperfections in the skin of a war machine after the battle, and we think these Planetags are a thing of historic beauty. 

This B-52 PlaneTag is made from the wing flap of this long-ranged jet-powered strategic bomber.   Originally designed to carry nuclear weapons during the cold war it has proved it is versatile and ageless.   From 1952 - 1962, 744 units were produced.  Rebuilt and upgraded, the B-52 has served proudly for 64 years and still plays a major role in our country's defense.  Affectionately called BUFF by its aircrews and many of you remember what that means!   

Unfortunately, we do not know the Tail # on this series. The B-52 PlaneTags were made from the inside wing flap from the Bomber.  Homeland Security restricts us from taking B52 parts.  A law that went into place in 2001.  These wing flaps were purchased shortly after the laws had changed in Tucson, and they were grandfathered in.  We have held onto them for our main product line at Motoart.com as a $75,000 conference table.  Sold 2, had one leftover.  Easier to Tag it and let thousands enjoy it.  The flaps have a Manufacture Stamp on it, but not a serial # of the aircraft.
