Ambassadors | Christina Renteria

(The following is narrated in a Sam Elliot inspired tone…)

Meet Christina Renteria, a corporate pilot found on different sides of the country all within a week’s time.  But there’s a saying in the Great State of Texas where Christina was born and raised: “the shortest distance in getting to know someone is a smile.”  And no doubt she was born with one, a bright one.  Though Christina doesn’t take all the credit for her contagious expression of gratitude, instead she says it comes from her family, friends, and flying.

Having been inspired by notable family figures early in life, she at last took flight lessons while attending college and suddenly found herself completely allured by aviation.  Not long afterwards, Christina began obtaining ratings and experience in due course, eventually working her way up to Chief Pilot for a reputable West Texas based operation.  Invulnerable to the long hours, not to mention layovers as a corporate pilot - in place of a hotel room, she retreats for a taste of neighborhood coffee shops, bucket-list worthy trails to explore, and locals to get to know.

Christina's no stranger to looking out of her office window and seeing something different every time, it’s too hard to keep it all to herself, so she has made it her purpose to inspire others who share the same sense of wonder.  In fact, a quick scroll through her Instagram feed, and you’ll notice that she’s a natural facilitator of inspiring others to take up their biggest dreams.  Her adventures sure are awe inspiring, but for Christina, the best journey takes her home to her husband, Gabe and their 2 cats, Simba and Hershey.

Though this aviator may appear destined for the skies, Christina’s grounded by her gratefulness, noticeably making positive connections with those she comes in contact with.  Her smile is undeniable along with her commitment to the field of aviation, and so too is how proud Aviator Mercantile Post is for having her as one of our Ambassadors!
