The Hawaiian Air Force was established on October 19, 1940, and re-designated in 1942 as the 7th Air Force. They defended us through WWII and the Korean War.   During the Korean War, the 7th Air Force was stationed in South Korea, where they have remained to this day. At Aviator Mercantile Post we have the 7th Airforce Helmet Bag which commemorates the Military Men & Women involved in those conflicts.
