Not all journeys must take place in the air. Even the most avid pilot sometimes needs a break from the endless sky and turns to the woods, waters, and roads to satisfy his or her thirst for adventure.

While we at Aviator Mercantile Post have a particular fondness for air travel, we love journeys of all kinds. That’s why in our O AGL (“On the Ground”) collection, we’ve assembled all the gear you need to venture into the great unknown. From cycling voyages to trips down the river, we can make you unstoppable.

If you’re headed out on the water, you’ll need a vessel you can rely on. We’ve tested numerous kayaks and canoes and stock only the ones we really believe in. These kayaks are versatile and safe enough to be used in a number of bodies of water and are made to withstand severe conditions.

The Oru Haven is one of our absolute favorites. The Haven is a tandem kayak that can support a two-seater and a single-seater configuration. It’s also a work of art; the Haven folds up into a small box, so you can easily transport and store it. We carry several other Oru kayaks, including The Coast XT, a sophisticated single-seater designed for serious solo exploration. All Oru kayaks are collapsible, built for easy transportation and storage. In our collection, you’ll also find matching Oru paddles.

If you’re a land lover, we have the gear for your journey, too. There is no better way to cover large distances solo than via bike. Power yourself forward, and leave your automated, tech- and fuel-dependent life behind.

We carry some of the most sophisticated bikes on the market, so you can escape into the wilderness unburdened. Like our Paratrooper Elite bike, the highest-performing folding mountain bike on the market. This incredibly powerful bike can get you across any terrain in any weather, and folds up nicely at the end of your day for easy, safe storage. For less intense journeys, we’ve also got the Navigator, another folding bike that’s perfect for quick weekend jaunts and commutes to work.

If you’re overnighting outdoors, you’ll need the camping essentials we have in stock to make your night restful and comfortable. First, you’ll want a hammock to keep yourself off the ground. Our nylon hammock can accommodate two people and can handle the wear and tear of multi-day trips. Pair it with a mosquito net and you might just be looking at the best night’s sleep of your life.

No matter where your trip takes you or how you get there, you’ll want to be prepared for emergencies. Bring along a power pack to get your gadgets juiced up.
