Ambassador | Zack Taylor

Zack Taylor is what we call the ideal figure for a poster titled “Hey, you wanna be a helicopter pilot?” Proudly born and raised in SWFL, Zack began his aviation career shortly after graduating from USF. Deciding to forgo a life of practicing law, he set out with enough ambition to reinvent the very definition of determination.

His pursuits to become a professional pilot were achieved in an impressive order, but not without paying his dues. From countless hours of instructing aspiring aviators to flying in challenging offshore environments and then air lifting trauma patients as a medevac pilot - Zack would eventually become a Designated Practical Examiner (a coveted role) for the FAA before most adults settle into their respective profession.

Zack was destined to be a helicopter pilot – meeting him, you’d instantly determine by his deep voice that commanding an aircraft was the suitable choice. His accomplishments and guttural tone are anything but intimidating given his natural ability to lead a large staff by example and mentor aspiring pilots. Zack and his wife, Laura, (a fellow AMP Ambassador), own and operate various aviation entities, which serve as inspirational outcomes of their hard work and commitment to the field of aviation.

Though actively contributing to aviation in a meaningful way, both he and Laura are often found off the waters of the Gulf Coast with their two sons, enjoying the natural world.
