The Dunkirk RAF Hooded Jacket was born out of the infamous WWII evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force and other Allied troops from the French seaport of Dunkirk. Although outnumbered, using Naval vessels and hundreds of civilian boats, they succeeded in bringing home the 300,000 men who had their backs up against the sea with the German Offense. True salvation came from the Royal Air Force fighters who courageously covered the evacuation. 

This jacket is in honor of those who fought valiantly that day in May 1940 whether on water or in the air, they were true heroes.  At Aviator Mercantile Post we carry a great selection of historically accurate jackets and other gear.
